South Stage depends upon contributions, sponsors and ticket sales to ensure increased quality and expanded technical capabilities and learning opportunities for our students.
The South Stage Parents group, a parent organization, raises funds for ongoing program and facility upgrades like new risers in the Black Box theatre, new wireless microphones, modernized sound lighting equipment, props and more. South Stage has immediate needs to help improve the quality and safety of the theatre program.
The current running South Stage WISHLIST includes:
PROGRAM UPGRADES:
• Wireless microphones (additional 8) for musical productions
• Tablesaw
• Drillpress
• Wireless headsets for backstage communication
• Band saw

No donation is too small, and 100% of all money raised will help South Stage.

- Raise money through various fundraisers (e.g., playbill ads, silent auction, and contributions) to support specific program needs
- Facilitate the dissemination of information about the program through publicity, mailings and emails
- Attend South Stage productions and celebrate the success of all students who participate in South Stage
- Sponsor the year-end June South Stage Celebration

Did You Know?
South Stage does not receive a production budget from the school other than modest stipends for professional and faculty directors.
Tickets sales, ad sales, and donations are the only sources of funding for production supplies such as royalties, lights, lumber, tools, paint, props, costumes, sound equipment, publicity, and supplementary adult technicians and pit musicians.
South Stage supporters are also responsible for nearly all of the equipment upgrades and replacements purchased in the last ten years, including new light and sound control boards in both theaters and a wireless microphone system.
Our most recent purchase is four "intelligent" lights. These moving lights replace multiple stationary lighting instruments by illuminating different parts of the stage in various colors and patterns.
