Dramatists Play Service:  "A comedy about sleep lost and hope found.  Julia, a woman from New York City with a serious case of insomnia, travels to Venice seeking help from a sleepless heiress who might be a distant relative.  What she discovers is the difference between being an insomniac and being truly awake."

Peter Hardy, former director, discusses the play on YouTube.
Dramaurge.com:  “The dialogue is razor sharp, the characters well drawn and unique, and the story vastly entertaining

         and informative.”
CityBeat.com:  “A thoughtful comedy... it’s a funny riff on the way that many of us avoid being fully aware of life.”

*ABOUT DOUBLING:  The director plans to cast the play as written with doubling as described, because it makes for a balanced distribution of stage time, equal responsibilities, a strong process, and less negotiation with other directors.  If unexpectedly large numbers of people audition for the spring season, this may be reconsidered.

    Place:
      - Julia and Greg’s apartment in New York
      - Dr. Midge’s Office
      - Isabella’s elegant, timeless, slightly decaying home in Venice
      - The Sky
